Kyra Simone was born in the UK having a Caribbean background of St Lucian and Grenadian parentage. A wonderful mixture of the islands, musical ties and cultural influences has shaped how Kyra Simone thinks, feels, sounds and looks.
Kyra grew up with a large family network of her grandparents, father, mother, brothers and sister. Her talents were discovered when her father David noticed her singing before she could even talk and realised her love for music when she would always want to sing in front of an audience and family gatherings. Kyra got her first recording done at the tender age of six, where she sung lead with her mother, Selma, and her brother, Karlos singing backing vocals. ‘Wow when I listen to that I can't believe I was singing that high, it's crazy, I was so young I barely remember it but I have the tape to prove it '. Kyra recalls.
